The history of the roundels is:

  • 1915-1941 red-yellow-blue roundel (with BYR "flag" on the fin)
  • 1941-1944 red-yellow-blue roundel on yellow swallow-tailed cross bordered blue (with BYR "flag" on the fin)
  • 1944-1947 as 1915-1941
  • 1947-1985 red five-pointed star bordered yellow with yellow-blue roundel in the middle, same emblem on the fin
  • 1985-on:  red-yellow-blue roundel, same emblem on the fin
